Ability of the surface to maintain its color and surface finish when subjected to boiling water.

Cleanability

Ease with which a surface can be cleaned after exposure to various staining agents. The ease of cleaning 15 reagents is tested.

The cleaning of each reagent is rated as follows and the ratings are added to get a total score

0 = stain is removed with water (moistened sponge)

1 = stain is removed with commercial cleaner with weighted moistened sponge

2 = stain is removed with a paste of commercial cleaner and baking soda and nylon bistle brush

3 = stain is removed with acetone on a cotton ball

4 = stain is removed with hypochorite bleach

5 = stain remains
